Went to space on September 18, 2006 with the Russian Spacecraft Soyuz from Kazakhstan.
Docked onto the International Space Station (ISS) lived in space for 8 days.
Sponsored the X-Prize program to award 10 million Dollars to the inventor of the first spacecraft that can be re-used in order for everyone to be able to view the Earth from space. Co-wrote “My Dream of Stars: From Daughter of Iran to Space Pioneer” with Homer Hickam based on her life.
Shared her experience and her views on the universe during various events and panels.
She has and continues to inspire people.

Ansari was in the scene where she sees the Earth from space for the first time after docking onto ISS and we heard this experience from her lips.
